The Vidami Blue does not send out a battery level status to connected devices, so the connected device is doing its best to estimate charge and splits the difference by stating that the charge level is 50%.
If you charge the Vidami Blue for a few hours you should achieve a full charge. When the battery level is getting too low, you will see the red Low Battery Status LED illuminate solid about 30 minutes before the charge level is too low to operate the unit. A few minutes before fulling discharging, the red LED will begin blinking.
You may have inadvertently changed the Control Mode.
Please refer to the Vidami Blue Modes & Functions Guide for more information changing between Video Control, DAW Control, and Page-Turning modes.

- Open the Music Stand app, and locate the Settings menu at the bottom left corner.
- Select “Pedal and Keyboard Input”.
- A new page titled “Pedal & Keyboard” will appear that displays the four functions that can be triggered by the Vidami Blue. Note that you should choose one of the two Page Turning Modes for use with this app (For information on switching to various control modes, please review the Vidami Blue Modes & Functions Guide).
- To configure: select one of Music Stands four functions, then click on the switch of your Vidami Blue that you’d like to use to trigger the corresponding function.
- For example: if you would like to use the Forward switch of the Vidami Blue to trigger the Next Page command of the Music Stand app, simply select Next Page on the Pedal & Keyboard page, then click on the Forward switch of your Vidami Blue. After doing this, the command from the Vidami Blue will appear to the right of “Next Page” confirming the action was successfully configured.
- Next, perform the same steps to configure the remaining functions of the Music Stand app.
Please note: When creating notes or annotations in Music Stand, you will need temporarily power off the Vidami Blue in order to make the iPad’s virtual keyboard appear. After you have created the note, etc., turn the Vidami Blue back On, and continue to enjoy working with the Music Stand app.
- If you have already registered your Vidami Blue / Original Vidami, installed the Vidami extension, and your play/pause button is the only switch that works; a quick fix may be to simply RESTART your computer.
- If you haven’t yet registered your Vidami Blue, please head to our registration page here and follow the onscreen prompts to setup your account and install the software extension for the computer, laptop, or iOS device that you will be using.
- If this does not resolve the issue, please make sure that your internet browser is up to date. Make sure that the operating system for your computer is up to date. The system requirements are listed under "technical specs" on the Vidami Blue and Original Vidami product pages.
- If you’re still experiencing issues, try reinstalling the Vidami extension.
Please restart your computer in order for your system to recognize and use the Vidami extension again.
- If you have not yet registered, just click on this link to register your Vidami Blue. Once you've registered, you will have access to your own account dashboard and can install the appropriate Vidami Blue extension software for your computer or iOS device.
- If you are having trouble selecting your device on the Registration page, make sure that you are registering using the computer or iOS device that you will be using with your Vidami. For example: attempting to register the original Vidami via an iPad will not give you the option to select Vidami on the pull down menu because the original Vidami is not compatible with mobile devices.
- If you are having trouble logging in to your User Dashboard: Please use the same method to login that you originally used when registering. For example, if you originally used Google Sign-In, but are now trying to enter your email address, the system will not accept your login.
First, make sure that you are using Chrome (not Edge or another internet browser).
Try shutting down and restarting your computer to see if this resolves the issue. If that doesn’t work, please refer to the Chrome Extension Update tutorial. If you’re still experiencing issues, try reinstalling the Vidami extension.
Although we don't offer support for installation of the Vidami Chrome browser on Microsoft Edge, it is possible for some Chromium based browsers like Edge to use Chrome extensions, but some settings within those browsers must be made. When more than one video is available on a page, you must select, or focus on the video that you want to control.

For information on permissions settings, please refer to the Safari Desktop/Laptop Extension Installation & Permissions Settings tutorial or the Vidami Blue iPad/iPhone Setup & iOS Extension Setup tutorial.

Presently, the Vidami Blue and Original Vidami communicate with computers/laptops and iOS devices via internet browser extensions. Because Smart TV apps don’t make use of browser extensions, the Vidami cannot control them directly.
The Vidami Blue can work with these devices if you have:
- An iOS, Windows or Mac Desktop/Laptop computer that can "mirror" its display on a Smart TV.
- A Smart TV with a "screen mirroring" feature.
- Any screen mirroring device such as Roku TV, Roku Stick, Apple TV, Apple AirPlay Devices, Amazon FireStick, Miracast, etc
Alternatively:
You can connect your Vidami to a Desktop/Laptop computer, connect the video monitor out from the computer to the HDMI input of a TV. In this scenario, you are using the TV as a monitor for your computer, and would need appropriate cables and adapters from the computer to the TV.
